Portland, Oregon, the City of Roses, and our surrounding communities.
Portland is often mentioned as one of the most livable cities in the United States. Our eco-friendly environment includes over 260 miles of bicycle paths and an extensive light rail system that is soon to include 80 miles. Our lush green city is only an hour to the ski slopes of Mt Hood and a two hour drive to the spectacular Oregon Coast.
Portland has so many neighborhoods and communities that have unique and special features. Although many are included in the following list, it is not intended to be inclusive. We service the entire metropolitan area, and these are some of the neighborhoods and suburbs we represent:
The City of Portland is in Multnomah County, and the county extends east to Gresham, Fairview and Troutdale and Wood Village. Portland has many neighborhoods that are pedestrian friendly. Some of those are Sellwood, the Hawthorne District, the Pearl District, the Alberta Arts District, Multnomah Village and the Hollywood District.
Portland is bordered by Clackamas County on the south. Some of the towns in Clackamas County are Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Damascus, Oregon City, Gladstone, Estacada and Molalla. To the west in Clackamas are West Linn and Lake Oswego. The Washington County communities of Tualatin and Wilsonville, which is partly in Clackamas County, are readily accessible because of our close proximity to I-205.
Our city offers every age group some special amenities. We do get a lot of rain, but all is forgiven in the spring when what seems like 200 shades of green dazzle us by the sun. Our glorious foliage becomes rife with color as the azaleas and rhododendrons begin to bloom. If treated properly, our stunning roses will produce beautiful bouquets into the fall. When you contact us, you will find we really do know the neighborhoods.
